Already? ‘The Purge 2: Anarchy’ Trailer & Poster is Here

Released early last year, The Purge brought in $34 million in its first three days on a budget of only $3 million. Of course Universal was going to make a second one. It didn’t matter opening day audiences only gave the film a “C” CinemaScore, quality doesn’t matter in this cinematic environment, only dollars and in this situation I can hardly argue.

That said, The Purge: Anarchy is set to rock your world on June 20 again telling another story set in the near-future environment were one night in an America wracked by crime and overcrowded prisons, the government has sanctioned an annual 12-hour period in which any and all criminal activity–including murder–becomes legal.

Directed by James DeMonaco, the film stars Frank Grillo and Short Term 12‘s Keith Stanfield, check out the first trailer directly below along with the poster and first pictures.
