Focus Features has debuted the trailer and poster for their upcoming dramedy Seeking a Friend for the End of the World starring Steve Carell and Keira Knightley. The pic is written and directed by Lorene Scafaria who previously wrote the screenplay for Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. This will mark her feature directorial debut.
The story begins as an asteroid nears Earth and a man finds himself alone after his wife leaves in a panic. He decides to take a road trip to reunite with his high school sweetheart and accompanying him on the journey is a neighbor who inadvertently puts a wrench in his plan.
Along with Carell and Knightley, the film is absolutely packed in the supporting department including Patton Oswalt, Connie Britton, Adam Brody, Rob Corddry, Melinda Dillon, Rob Huebel, Gillian Jacobs, Derek Luke, Melanie Lynskey, T.J. Miller and William Petersen. The pic is set to hit theaters on June 22.
